The UNC Tarheels looked unbeatable on Wednesday night as they beat Michigan State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at Ford Field in Detroit 98-63. Tyler Hansbrough did play in the contest and had 23 points and 11 rebounds on the night.

Carolina stormed out to a 14-point halftime lead, and continued the romp into the second half. Much has been made about the Tarheel’s talent and this contest showcased every last bit of it. No starter in the contest reached 30 minutes of playing time at Ford Field, and it looked obvious that UNC will return to the site of the Final Four in April if everything goes according to plan.

This makes the second big game Carolina has won against a top-15 team. The other, beating Notre Dame in Hawaii, who at the time was number nine in the country.

The Tarheels will get a relaxing ten-game break before hitting the hardwood again when they take on Oral Roberts in the Dean Dome on December 13th at 6:00 pm.
