Sean Taylor
Director of Golf and Instruction at Wintergreen Resort is also one of “America’s Top Golf Instructors” in Guide to America Golf Instructors. Leads a team of golf instructors at the Wintergreen Academy of Golf, which is located on the Rees Jones designed 45-hole golf resort. Sean is the host of the ESPN “The Front Nine” focusing on golf instruction. In 2007, Sean was nominated for Middle Atlantic Teacher of the Year.
He formally was employed as Director of Golf at the world famous Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Fl. While at Grand Cypress his instructional responsibilities included: overseeing a 13 golf professional instructional staff, designing instructional criteria for the Hyatt Golf Chat Live. Additionally, Sean designed and implemented the Grand Demo Center – Vector Launch monitor with V1 Instructional software. Finally, he oversaw all clinics at the resort. During his time at Grand Cypress he was awarded Top 100 Best Golf Shop by Golf World Business, 2004 & 2005.
Prior to his employment at Grand Cypress, Sean Taylor was the Head Golf Professional at the Duke University where he was nominated for the Presidential Award.

Sean’s extensive playing experience began with his impressive junior record which led to a four year golf scholarship at Elon University. Sean competed professionally on several mini tours throughout southeast including the Florida Tour, Emerald Coast Tour, Spalding Space Coast tour as well as many PGA Section events. One of his greatest honors was selected as captain of the Professional Cup Team in Orlando, Fl. During his professional playing years he received instruction at the David Leadbetter Academy located in Orlando, Florida.
