WVU Ali to Undergo Season-Ending Shoulder Surgery

West Virginia University women's basketball Coach Mike Carey announced
today that junior forward Madina Ali will miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury.

Ali, a Williamsport, Pa., native, will undergo left shoulder surgery in
the coming weeks and take a medical redshirt for this season. She will
have two years of eligibility remaining at WVU.

A Second Team WBCA/Kodak All-American last year at Daytona Beach Community College, Ali appeared in two games this year averaging 5.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest.
