Virginia women¹s basketball head coach Debbie Ryan announced Tuesday that Abby Robertson has left the team for personal reasons. ³I support Abby and her decision,² Ryan said. ³After my discussions with her, I feel this is what¹s best for her personally and for the program. We will miss Abby.² Robertson, a three-time letterwinner, appeared in 91 games for Virginia and last year averaged 2.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 32 appearances. ³After a careful process of evaluating my life, I have decided to leave the team for personal reasons,² Robertson said. ³I have some things I need to work on and take care of. I am very grateful for the opportunity to share my life with the Virginia Cavaliers family over these past three years. Coach Ryan's leadership of this program is second-to-none, and my former teammates are incredible people for whom I have a great deal of love and respect. I look forward to contributing in other ways as a student at the University of Virginia my senior year.²
