The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced today the times for the first five games on its 2008 football slate.
The season-opener at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium against Villanova will kickoff at 3:30 p.m., and will be broadcast by ESPN Regional Television. The next two games on Saturday, September 6 at East Carolina and Thursday, September 18, at Colorado, will be at 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively on ESPN.
The September 27 Marshall game at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium will be played at 3:30 p.m. and televised by ESPN Regional Television, and the October 4 home game against Rutgers will start at Noon and will be televised by ESPN Regional Television.
Other games slated for television are the Auburn home game on Thursday, October 23, at 7:30 p.m., on ESPN, the Friday, November 28 contest at Pitt on ABC and the Saturday, December 6 home date with USF airing on either ESPN or ESPN2.
West Virginia officially begins its 2008 preseason preparations when the players report on Friday, August 1, and the first practice will be held on Saturday, August 2.
