The 5th Annual Don't Give up V Foundation Auction concluded Wednesday July 15, and here at ESPN Blacksburg we conducted a local auction for our listeners in the New River Valley. Here is what was up for auction and the winning bid for each item.
- Radford Basketball Experience: 4 tickets to the Radford/George Mason game on December 30th at the Dedmon Center. The four ticket holders will also get the chance to be honorary coaches, which includes the opportunity to be in the locker room for the pre-game talk and Radford basketball souvenirs. (Final Bid: $125)
- A live remote of The Sean Bielawski Show, on Monday, August 31st at the winner’s place of business. Note: this is only open to businesses. The show cannot take place at a winner's residence. Sean will personally match this bid with a donation of his own to the V Foundation. (Final Bid: $150 plus Sean's personal donation of $150)
- Frank Beamer autographed football (Final Bid: $200)
- Jake Delhomme autographed mini-helmet (Final Bid: $25)
- 4 Salem Red Sox prize packs: Includes a Matt Holliday or Jason Kendall bobblehead doll and a gift certificate for four tickets to any regular season game during the 2009 season (Final Bids: $25, $30, $30, $30)
- 2 Virginia Tech football packages: includes a copy of Hokie Games: VT Football Game by Game 1945-2006 – Book by Rich Tandler and Hokie Nation: A Team, A Town and the Best Darned Fans in College Football—DVD (Final Bid: $10)
- TechSideline.com Prize Pack: includes an orange VT hooded sweatshirt, VT jacket, and a signed poster of Brian Randall (Final Bid: $30)
